Jemma Rogers

Jemma joined Swansea NHS Trust in 2003 during the completion of her MSc studies where she was studying Health Care Management, following her graduation from Cardiff University’s Law School in 2002. She was appointed Research & Development Manager in 2004 and has subsequently developed 16 years’ experience of strategic and operational management of a corporate NHS research & development department including managing the department transition through various organisation re-structures, most recently the establishment of Swansea Bay University Health Board.  She has also played a key role in strengthening the health board’s collaboration with Swansea University, serving on various joint research and innovation as part of the development of the Institute of Life Sciences, notably setting up the Joint Study Review Committee in 2005 which continues to operate as a key joint committee in 2020. She is also the Health Board Information Governance Lead for Research and Innovation and acts as Sponsor Representative for the health board.
