Biography

Lisa Williams has worked as a dietitian in NHS Wales for over 30 years in clinical, community and public health roles. She is a member of the British Dietetic Association and Public Health Dietitians in Wales network and has a PGCE and MA in Post Compulsory Education and Training. Since 2012, Lisa has led the all-Wales community nutrition education programme, Nutrition Skills for Life. Her recent work includes the digital transformation of nutrition training and community-based nutrition interventions. This includes; the development of the Foodwise in Pregnancy mobile application, Nutrition Skills for Life website, digital learning and teaching strategy and programme evaluation framework.

Her First into Research project is a scoping review, into what works, for whom, in what circumstances and to what extent for community-based nutrition interventions. This has sparked a passion to undertake realist evaluation in the field of public health nutrition and dietetics.
