Your voice can shape the future of children’s wellbeing support in Wales

Share your experiences of wellbeing support for children and young people and help shape future resources for families.

Researchers at Cardiff University want to hear from parents of primary school children in Wales about what support really helps with child wellbeing.

This research explores how the emotional environment within families affects children’s wellbeing and how best to support parents in promoting positive mental health. By working with parents, the study aims to shape interventions that are practical, evidence-based, and designed around the real needs of families in Wales.

What will I be asked to do?

  • Take part in a one-to-one chat (for half an hour, online or by phone) with the researcher to share your views privately.
  • Join a group discussion (for about an hour, online or in person, at Cardiff University) with other parents to share experiences and ideas together.
How long will I be needed for?

You will be asked to take part over a total of about two and a half hours.
This includes:

  • one hour to read a short document sent in advance
  • 30 minutes in a one-to-one chat with the researcher
