Professor Angharad Davies
Specialty Lead for Infection
Professor Angharad Davies is a Professor and Honorary Consultant Microbiologist at Swansea University Medical School. She qualified in medicine from Cambridge University and completed specialist training in medical microbiology at the Royal Free Hospital, London, before taking up a Medical Research Council Clinical Research Training Fellowship researching tuberculosis. In Swansea, she is Consultant Microbiologist at the national Cryptosporidium Reference Unit where much of her research is based.
Angharad is Vice-President for Learning for the Royal College of Pathologists’ and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She sits on the Medical Research Council's Clinical Training and Career Development Panel and the UK Research Excellence Framework Equality and Diversity Advisory Panel.
