Biography
David Bosanquet is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer working in the South East Wales Vascular Network. He qualified from Cardiff University in 2006, and undertook his surgical training in South Wales. He was awarded the 2018-19 British Society of Endovascular Therap (BSET) Fellowship, which he undertook in Southmead Hospital, Bristol. During his training he completed an MD in wound healing, and sat on the council for the Rouleaux Club, Association of Surgeons in Training (ASIT) and the Vascular and Endovascular Research Network (VERN, with whom he is still affiliated). He is currently the deputy chair on the Amputation Special Interest Group (SIG).
His research interests include amputation surgery, wound healing, arterial revascularisation and collaborative research. He has been awarded funding from NIHR Health Technology Assessment (HTA), RfPPB Wales and the Health and Care Research Wales programmes.
