Intro paragraph

Identifying research priorities for communication around women’s health

Thank you for helping to shape the future of women’s health research in Wales.

Who should answer this survey?

Women and girls (over 16 years old), and people registered as female at birth who are living in, and/or receiving healthcare from the NHS in Wales.

This means you could live in Wales but go to a GP or hospital in England.

Students living in Wales during their studies can answer this survey.

Any form of communication (face to face, emails, text messages, written, telephone calls, imagery) relating to any aspect of health experienced by women and girls aged 16+.

What do we mean by NHS services?

Please consider communication experiences you have had with NHS practitioners (doctors, nurses, advanced nurse practitioners, physiotherapists etc.) in the following services:

  • Services provided at your GP surgery
  • Pharmacies
  • Dentists
  • Opticians
  • Planned specialist care usually provided through a hospital
  • Urgent and emergency care
  • District nurses
  • Child health services
  • Sexual health services
  • Health visitors
  • Mental health care
  • School nurses

We are not including communication with administrative staff or general issues with services in this survey, e.g. waiting times, which are beyond the scope of this topic.

Is it confidential?

This is a confidential survey. We will ask for a little information about you. This is so that we can understand who is completing the survey and whether we are hearing from a wide range of people. No parts of the survey are mandatory.

After completing the survey, you will be asked if you would like to be kept informed about the project. This is completely voluntary, and we do not link your survey responses to the details you provide in this form. For more information, see our privacy notice.

Please provide example/s. In this survey, any form of communication could be mentioned, direct (e.g. with a practitioner, via an appointment, email, letter, text etc.) or indirect (e.g. general information/education about NHS services or health issues).
