#Red4Research 2025

This year's #Red4Research event is taking place on Friday 20 June.

#Red4Research Day was founded by Sally Humphreys, Chair of R&D Forum RMWG, in 2020 as a way of saying thank you to the incredible research teams collectively working to develop new diagnostics and treatments.

Research isn’t undertaken by individuals working in isolation but made possible by people around the world working together.

#Red4Research has been supported by people in America, Australia, Chile, Italy, Spain, Malaysia and India as well as the UK, where it started.

We’d like to invite you to get involved in our #Red4Research 2025 celebrations, it’s your opportunity to share what research means to you and your team, the impact it has and why it is so important.

Help us shout about all the amazing people who make research happen across Wales this #Red4Research day.

How to take part:

Submit a photo, your location and some information via email before the deadline of 17:00 on 26 May.

What we’d like from you:

A photo of you or your team wearing red – the more red the better!

  • You could show us the places you work or live, make it unique to Wales. Can you get a recognisable Welsh landmark in your photo?
  • You could use props – a red dragon teddy, previous year’s Red4Research beachball, a red pillow, lying on a red towel on a beach, etc

Your location

A little bit of information about you or your team

  • Provide a couple of lines about either yourself e.g.
  • My name is… I work as … in … and I enjoy visiting the beach
  • I am most proud of … OR about the team e.g.:
This is the … team and we are based in ….and this year we have done … research studies / helped … number of patients take part in research or similar.

Deadline for submissions: 17:00 on 26 May 2025

What we will do

Once we have received photos from the various teams across Wales, we will create a map with pins showing your photos, your what3word locations and the lines about the people/teams in the photos.
