25 July - Shut Up and Write workshop - These sessions are structured and focused and held in an online environment where you can come together with fellow Faculty members, set aside distractions and achieve your writing goals. 

 

August 2025

20 August - General surgery - These are general drop-in surgeries to answer queries about applying for personal awards. These will be monthly, one-hour online sessions with no need to pre-book.

 September 2025 

8 Sept - Resourcing your study workshop - A practical session aimed at building your knowledge and ability to effectively manage your research projects. 

8 Sept - Advancing researcher scheme surgery - Join our Researcher Development Advisors at an award surgery for the opportunity to ask any questions about the Advancing Researcher Scheme. Complete the registration form to book your place at the surgery.

12 Sept - Shut Up and Write workshop - These sessions are structured and focused and held in an online environment where you can come together with fellow Faculty members, set aside distractions and achieve your writing goals. 

15 - 19 Sept - Fellowship week - Save the dates. 

Join Health and Care Research Wales Faculty Researcher Development Advisors, Dr Martin Elliott and Dr Claire O’Neill for a week of online lunchtime sessions exploring the 5Ps of fellowship success: Person, Place, Project, Plan and Public and Patient Involvement (PPI). Each day will focus on one key element of a competitive fellowship application, helping you develop your confidence and readiness to apply for funding. 

18 Sept - Webinar: NIHR Application Development Award – what, why, where, when, who, how? with Dr Emma Rees

24 Sept - Communication for researchers workshop - Save the date! Would you benefit from tools and methods to maximise the impact of your research both within your organisation as well as with external stakeholders? Then this workshop will help you with those tools. We want to ensure we meet your communication needs, complete the communications survey by 29 August and tell us what support you would like with your communication skills.

25 Sept - Mentoring orientation session - the Faculty mentoring programme opens in June every year, if you're interested in taking part in the next cohort please submit a mentee or mentor form
