Advanced NeuroTherapies Centre
The Advanced Neurotherapies Centre is among a select group of centres worldwide with the research capacity to tackle the translational challenges of intracranial delivery. It does so by pioneering and investing in “Delivery Science” and by mitigating risks associated with First in Human trial transitions through the use of human tissue.
Comprising leading clinicians and scientists, the Centre is dedicated to advancing the development and delivery of novel cell, drug, and growth factor therapies for patients suffering from currently untreatable neurodegenerative neurological diseases. Its research focuses on four primary conditions:
- Huntington’s Disease
- Epilepsy
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Parkinson’s Disease
From its establishment in 2015 to 2025, it was known as the Brain Repair and Intracranial Neurotherapeutics (BRAIN) Unit, focusing on developing novel therapeutics and treatment delivery systems for neurological conditions.
