Wales COVID-19 Evidence Centre report library

The Wales COVID-19 Evidence Centre was created in March 2021 to review the wealth of vital COVID-19 research available, to make sure the evidence used to make COVID-19 health and social care decisions is up-to-date and relevant to Wales.  

Working with their research partners, the Evidence Centre team produce reports, on topics such as face masks, vaccine uptake and COVID-19 transmission, which provide information about their key findings and the policy and practice implications the findings may have. These reports are shared with stakeholders including Welsh Government to guide decision-making by ministers, leaders in the NHS and social care sectors and members of the public.

The Centre produces four types of reports:

• Rapid Evidence Summary (RES) – Provides early information about available research and informs the next stage of the Centres work.
• Rapid Evidence Map (REM) - Used to help focus a topic for a rapid review and identifies gaps in the research evidence.
• Rapid Review (RR) – A summary of the available research evidence. These reports can be used to inform policy and practice.
• Report (R) – Round ups of research studies happening in Wales.

All the reports available from the Wales COVID-19 Evidence Centre are listed below. Reports are produced quickly, and the report library will be updated frequently.
