Identify partners and collaborators

Identifying and approaching potential partners or collaborators at an early stage of any research can greatly aid idea development. These should include patients and the public and may include other researchers, experts in the field, commercial companies, charities, government, health boards and trusts. What they can bring to the project, and you can give to them, will vary accordingly but could include ensuring patient perspectives are met, aligning research with policy and practice priorities, or providing funding or resources.

The Health and Care Research Wales Support and Delivery Service can put commercial companies in touch with interested clinicians, academics and managers in the NHS and academic institutions.

The Health and Care Research Wales research community can offer expert advice.
