Diabetes Research Group Swansea Laboratory
The laboratory provides a high quality service specialising in assays relating to clinical trials and particularly those of relevance to the study of diabetes and related areas. In addition to assay services, we are able to support the development and testing (including validation) of new devices.
The laboratory has been accredited in compliance with the Good Clinical Laboratory Practice standard, a quality system for laboratories that analyse samples from Clinical Trials in accordance with Good Clinical Practice regulations. This allows the laboratory to demonstrate standards which maintain patient confidentiality and rights in addition to demonstrating the reliability, quality and integrity of the data. The laboratory has an extensive Quality Management System covering aspects such as sample receipt, handling, testing, storage, data analysis and reporting of data arising from the sample analysis of clinical trials.
